cool, thank you!!! i will check them out, but here’s the thing: why are so many bands obsessed with whales? why are so many people named adams? i am named adams! so is ryan adams! so are patrick and marylea adams! (those are my parents) whales are great, my old boyfriend looks just like a beluga whale when he swims.

3. what do you think the definition of beautiful is? does it come from within, or is it inherent in something? is it too subjective? do you think there’s something out there that’s beautiful to everybody?

well, you caught me in a silly mood, but i will try to tell you some things that i feel the best that i can. i think beauty is subjective, yes. i don’t like salvador dali one freaking bit and some people look at his dummy paintings and think they are the most gorgeous things ever, god knows why, but they do. but i think some things, some people, some animals are inherently beautiful. for example, tigers, there are no denying that they are beautiful, also for example, a girl named pritika. there is no denying that she is beautiful, either.

and i mean, even if you don’t like tigers that much, or even if you don’t like girls that much, there’s no denying that either one is BEAUTIFUL. and i mean REALLY BEAUTIFUL. ask anyone.

i also think that there might not be ONE THING that everyone thinks is beautiful to everyone, but i think… love, i mean, nobody goes through their whole life without falling in love with something, whether it be a man, a painting, an idea. people fall in love with physics, they fall in love with their pets, they fall in love with the sky, and i mean, i think it might all be the same, that love, as long as it is crazy and golden and pure, and i mean, if there’s one thing, i mean, if there’s ANYTHING, not just anything that’s beautiful, but really anything at all, it’s love.

and that’s beautiful, i think.

hahahha, sorry if i didn’t answer your question too well, i don’t think anyone will ever figure that one out, all we can do is get close by asking it.

i also took a 6-hour nap today. i also listened to frightened rabbit all day, finished my freaking econ final without even feeling overwhelmed for a SECOND!! made jokes to heidi rodenberger and made her laugh so hard, and i thought she was afraid of me!! maybe she still is, but do i care? NOPE, NOPE, NADA!

i fell in love with everyone today, heidi, laughing in front of her car and then picking sadly at the peeled paint, noah with his little ears sticking out of his hoodie, charley, EVERYTHING ABOUT CHARLEY, carolyn and her soft grey sweater and sharp grey eyes, brenda nodding in her shadow, i fell in love with everyone i was so happy and relieved!!

and now talking to rachael, heaven, heaven, heaven i am so happy to have her!!
and thank you peter hernadez, i love you too, and don’t feel like you gotta make yourself too subtle, because i am a really intense person too, i know how it is! we do!!

i like feeling like it is okay that i feel young. i like feeling normal, like nothing i am doing is wrong. like i don’t NEED to do anything or BE anything or DO anything to be something.

today i was clean and tired and normal, i felt comfortable and unembarrassed, thankful, brave, appreciated.

today i was content.

i used to love to do interpretive dance to john mayer in my bedroom in 6th grade before the Epic Crash of the Family Computer. when noah sent me all that john mayer in a lil zippy file, the first thing i did was do those same hilariously heartfelt dances.

i was 9 years old and it was christmas, i got really cheap glittery lipgloss from big lots in my stocking. i put it on my lips and stared into the reflection of the black turned off t.v. and i thought i looked so much like Britney Spears.

when i was learning to run my own baths, one time i had filled the tub with water that was WAY TOO HOT. instead of putting some cold water in it, or even waiting until it cooled, i put oven mitts on my hands and feet and sat in the scalding water until i got used to it.
